February 3 is KAIROS Sunday

January 10, 2008

By pwrdf

Celebrate and renew your faith community’s work for social justice with a KAIROS Sunday service, in your own congregation or with partners from other churches or faiths.
KAIROS is the social justice organization of eleven Canadian churches and church agencies. One of the aims of KAIROS Sunday is to raise awareness of the faithful action for justice that KAIROS strives to offer our churches and world.
The suggested date is the last Sunday before Lent (also Transfiguration Sunday) on February 3.  But any Sunday in which your faith community chooses to focus on the Gospel call to justice and peace can also be KAIROS Sunday.
An ecumenical liturgy, bulletin insert, sermon and background notes, children’s resources and supplementary material is avaiable on the KAIROS website.
