Order of Service for KAIROS Sunday
 We are here today to knock on the door
We are here today to knock on the door
on behalf of those out in the cold.
We will keep knocking until the door is open;
Until ours is a nation where compassion and justice are wed;
Where compassion and justice are real;
Where compassion and justice are normative;
Where compassion is tender and justice is strong;
There compassion is strong and justice is tender.
Make this time this morning worth our time;
Make this time significant for those on whose behalf we
advocate.
Make this time kairos time.
In your own holy name we pray: Amen.
(From the Opening Prayer from KAIROS Sunday Service by Ted Hicks, KAIROS Group, St. Boniface MB)
February 26, 2006 — the Sunday before Lent begins– is the suggested date to celebrate ecumenical social justice and mark KAIROS Sunday in your own community, but any time of year is appropriate.     An Order of Service, Leader’s notes and a Bulletin Insert are available at the KAIROS website.
